This is a standardized directory tree structure for containing
concise SIR subjects. The files contained within the scripts
directory provide a typical installation script and supporting
scripts needed to create install scripting for your new SIR
subject. You may need to add additional directories or files
to support setup of particular platform configuration requirements,
e.g. SQL server initialization scripts to fully install your
subject on the end-user system.

The other directories provided in this sample SIR package and how
to use them is documented in the directory specification pages of the
SIR. Refer to the preparer's handbook for additional notes on what
should be provided under each directory within the subject.

Files provided in this sample package:

functions.sh Contains a set of Bash functions that support several
ways of transferring source code from the versions
                  directory or from web-host URLs.
git_install.sh An example of using the Git download functions.
You would typically rename this to install.sh as your
main Bash shell script that you end-user will
use to install your subject's versions. The typical
command-line usage of this script is described in the
                  comments.
link_install.sh An example of using the HTTP GET and link file to
download a version of your subject. This would typically
be renamed to install.sh as noted above.
config.sh A file that is used to contain configuration settings
specific to your subject. The PHP web subjects of the
SIR use this to provide values used in all versions of
the subject. You can adapt this to the needs of your
subject if it has specific configuration settings that
need to be set by the end-user for proper test subject
                  operation on their system.
mkPass.php A PHP script that creates password hash values suitable
for PHP web-sites using hashed password mechanisms. This
script is used in some PHP web subjects of the SIR to
initialize user passwords within SQL database tables.
getdate.php A PHP script that returns a formatted date string that
can be put into a shell variable within a script.
time.php A PHP script that returns the current time in a format
used in PHP. The return value can be put into a shell
variable for use in database initialization scripts
                  needing the current time.
